Microsoft recently unveiled two new Surface devices, the Surface Pro 10 for Business and the Surface Laptop 6 for Business, during an online broadcast earlier this month. These modified versions of the popular Surface devices are specifically designed for enterprise customers and are not available for direct purchase by consumers.
While these new Surface devices are not yet available for purchase, they provide a preview of the innovations that may be coming to future Surface hardware that will be available for general consumers to buy. Microsoft has confirmed that a product announcement event is scheduled for May 20, hinting that these new features could soon be accessible to a wider audience.
The Surface Pro 10 for Business boasts a new anti-glare coating on the screen, designed to enhance the user experience with touchscreen functionality using fingertips or the Surface Pen stylus. Additionally, both the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 for Business come equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra chipsets, a new key dedicated to the Microsoft Copilot AI assistant, and a Neural Processing Unit to boost AI features in Windows 11.
These new Surface devices feature minor design enhancements, such as an additional USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port on the Surface Laptop 6 for Business and improved camera capabilities on the Surface Pro 10. The Surface Pro 10 also introduces an Ultrawide Studio Camera for superior video quality during video calls.
Moreover, the Surface Pro 10 includes an NFC reader for secure password-less login and will later offer a version with 5G connectivity. Both Surface devices emphasize sustainability, with recycled content in their construction and easier service and repair options.
Pricing for the Surface Pro 10 for Business starts at £1,199, while the Surface Laptop 6 for Business also begins at the same price point.
